Story

"Nativ found his passion for electronic music around 2010 & early on was heavily influenced by artists like 3LAU, Calvin Harris, Skrillex, Alesso, Avicii, Porter Robinson, & Zedd (the list could go on forever). His music career started at Western University, DJ'ing the parties he threw in first year. Over his four-year undergrad, he up performing at nearly ever bar and club in London Ontario, including a weekly gig at The Ceeps - where Nick & Nativ originally met.
Nick Bright, a lifelong acoustic folk and country singer songwriter, only started diving into the world of music production in early 2019. Trying to take music more seriously, he started a podcast called The Basement Songwriter, where he interviewed up and coming artists on how they developed their skills. Knowing Nativ from his university days at Western and his several releases - they did a phone interview for an episode of the podcast. While the podcast was short lived, the two remained connected on their solo projects.
Their first track together, 'When I'm Older', was made almost accidentally when the two were in Nativ's home studio listening to some demos Nativ had been working on. The two plugged in an acoustic guitar as a joke and a week later after sending tracks back and forth to each other the song was done, and the rest is history.
