Story
The lyrics to this song are about disillusionment, so we knew immediately we wanted to take it to a place that felt darker than the original.
We created a moody vibe with a half-time shuffle in the drums, then added layers of synths with a soft piano on top to enhance the emotion behind the vocals.
Though our version is much more melancholy, we enjoyed sprinkling in lots of details from Kimbra’s tracks so it still feels very much connected to the original.
