Story
The longevity peach is usually wrapped in white, with pink dots or light pink on the top surface, and is used for birthday banquets. In traditional terms, the birthday peach bag used for birthday banquets or the birthday of gods and Buddhas is called "Shou Tao".
壽桃即為蟠桃，為仙果的一種。最初源自於台灣暱稱母娘，道教神話中王母娘娘（瑤池金母），在《山海經》、《武漢帝內傳》、《西遊記》與《幼學瓊林》中都有敘述，服用可長生不老。傳說王母娘娘住在崑崙山的瑤池，是道教神話信仰中的神湖，瑤池園裡種有蟠桃，每年的農曆三月初三王母娘娘誕辰日時，便會設蟠桃宴邀請各路神仙來慶祝，品嚐千年結一次果的蟠桃。
